I have always enjoyed photographing imagery I happen upon. Often, my process involves referencing photos and many of my paintings are inspired by details or cropped photographs. Sometimes I feel like a photo stands alone, both as realism and abstraction. So why capture it in paint? How a photograph and a painting relate is very interesting to me and presents opportunity for exploration.
